Betty J. (Mock) Saylor

  Saylor: Betty J. (Mock), 94, of Davidsville, went to be with Jesus on January 11, 2026. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.

  Born April 18,1931 in Salix, PA, she was the daughter of James and Ethel Mock. Preceded in death by parents, husband John J. Saylor, who died March 26, 2017, brother Richard Mock and wife, Nora, brothers and sisters-in-law Beatrice (Lester) Blough, James (Mary Margaret) Saylor, Beulah (Forest) Johns, Violet (Lee) Wible, William (Jean) Saylor, Robert (Audrey) Saylor, Betty (Richard) Layton, Nancy (Jacob) Shaffer, Frank Saylor, and Robert Bowman.

  Betty is survived by her daughters, Judy married to Ted Risch, and Cindy married to David Duray, both of Davidsville, grandchildren Sarah (Risch) married to Chris Wallace, Tom Risch, Tim Risch married to Sarah (Means), John Duray married to Ashley (Wieland), Katie (Duray) married to Jason Carver, Matt Duray married to Kelsey (Ott). and great-grandchildren Sadie Wallace, Audrey Wallace, Madison Duray, Madeleine Wallace, Alexandra Duray, Caroline Miller, Lillian Wallace, Chase Duray, Nathan Miller, Mabel Duray, Holly Duray, Emmi Duray, and Ophelia Risch. She is also survived by sister-in-laws Leona (Frank) Saylor and Roberta Bowman. In addition to her immediate family, Betty had many nieces, nephews, and neighborhood children that she dearly loved.   

  Betty worked alongside her husband, John, as his construction business secretary. She felt her family was her greatest joy. Betty could always be found in her kitchen cooking and baking pies for family and friends. She enjoyed attending her daughter's and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will be sadly missed by her entire family.

  Betty was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Hollsopple, where she served the Lord in many capacities.

  Family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. Davidsville PA. 15928. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 11:00 am, at the Bethel United Methodist Church, Hollsopple, PA 15935, where Pastor Sarah Adkins will officiate.
