James Marion Yon

Yon: James Marion, 80 of Johnstown, died February 17, 2026, at home with his family.  Born April 28, 1945, in Johnstown the son of Marion and Helen (Costlow) Yon.  Preceded in death by his parents.  Survived by his wife of 61 years Betty (Walters) Yon and children Tracy married to Kevin Kirkstadt, Kimberly married to Ben Darrow, Joseph married to Barby Yon, and Kathleen Leitenberger.  Loving grandfather of Amanda (Karl) Hofmann, Zachary (Melyssa) Leitenberger, Nicholas (Clayton) Kirkvarro, Emily (Bryan) Gillam, Bailey Yon, Samantha Darrow, and Abigail Darrow.  He is also the great grandfather of Ayla Leitenberger, Hazel Hofmann, and Violet Gillam.  James was the brother of Angela (Edward) Jones and Robert (Kay) Yon.  James also has several nieces and nephews and their families.  James retired from Bethlehem Steel as a Crane Operator.  Upon his retirement he worked for the American Red Cross.  He was an avid Photographer who enjoyed spending time with his family. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 P.M. until time of service at 2 P.M. at the George E. Mason Funeral Home, Inc. in Davidsville.
